River Safety

Even in its calmest stretches, the Trinity River is still a large moving body of water with all the related
dangers. We all need to step up and take care of our own safety and the safety of others while
recreating on the Trinity. Please visit the BLM River Safety Tips website or the Friends of the River Safety
Page to insure that your time on the Trinity is safe and enjoyable.

The river flows change throughout the year. Please visit the United States Geological Survey
(USGS) website for current flow information. Click here for the day-to-day scheduled releases from the
Lewiston Dam. You can also subscribe for flow release notifications through The Trinity River
Restoration Program by following this link.
