River Safety

We all need to step up and take care of our own safety and the safety of others while recreating on the Trinity.  Even in it’s calmest stretches, the Trinity River is still a large moving body of water with all the related dangers.

Please visit the BLM River Safety Tips website or the Friends of the River Safety Page to insure that your time on the Trinity is safe and enjoyable.

The river flows change throughout the year.  Please visit the United States Geological Survey (USGS) website for current flow information.  Click here for the day-to-day scheduled releases from the Lewiston Dam.

You can also subscribe for flow release notifications through The Trinity River Restoration Program by following this link.

If you’re interested in River Guide Training and/or Swiftwater Rescue Certification, you can contact Redwoods & Rivers; a family run rafting company located on the Trinity River in Del Loma, CA.
